“In the Beginning, There Was the Word, and the Word Was:
“Let There Be Light.”
Light and color are actual vital, dynamic forces in our Universe. There is no life on planet Earth without light. Physicists pretty much agree that in the beginning there was the Big Bang—an explosion of light and color. In Genesis we read the first commandment of God—God’s suggestion through thinking, “Let there be light.” God, meaning the Universal Intelligence, the Present Lover, the “He, She or It” had a thought and the thought became light. This is first principle of Creative Manifestation. According to Genesis, the very first thing God did was create color. Not matter, not mantras, not money, not a Bible or a Koran, but color. When we learn to communicate through color, we are in communion with the Original Mind and Force of the Creator. We are establishing a direct link through our thought of color to the origin of thought and color, which is the Divine Mind—the Universal Intelligence—within us. It’s totally pure and undiluted communication. It’s not Hebrew, Sanskrit or Latin. It’s wordless, but it has unlimited potential for manifestation. We’re directly and independently perceiving and connecting to Original Truth.
Let’s stop right here and make some deductions. Let’s turn our attention toward this process. Because there’s a great secret here—a principle we can uncover that’s been hidden until now. The way that any discovery is made is through the power of the mind to reason. If we work backwards from the light, and go back to the starting point, the secrets can be revealed. So what we have so far is a Creative Source, which had the thought of light, and the intention to produce light. The light is the effect, and the thought and intention are the cause. And the light manifested.
Everything that you see is a manifestation on the physical dimension. But the point is to escape being trapped in the physical dimension. The underlying structure is what we want to perceive. If we reason backwards we realize that all of the matter we see is not the first cause. Where did the matter come from? What is it? It’s energy. All physicists will tell you this. And where did the energy come from? It came from light. And go back from the light and what produced the light? Thought! And where did thought come from? Mind! And where did Mind come from? From God which is eternal! What all the Scriptures tell us is that the Mind of God—the Original Prime Mover—is eternal and beyond our comprehension.
But we do know that when that mind of Creation initiated the creative process through its thought and intention, it thought Seven Rays of color into creation—a field of light a prism can reveal to us. Your mind has the power with your intention to generate thought rays of color. If enlightenment, or spiritual illumination suggest light, wouldn’t it be worth some inquiry into the relationship between thought, color and human evolution?
It has to make intuitive sense that we are dealing with the most powerful forces in the Universe: the Creative Mind from which thoughts arise and manifest into light. Color visibly affects you. You see a color and your spirit is uplifted. You are attracted to certain colors and by other colors you are repulsed.
We can’t be against sound. After all, in the beginning, there was “the word.” We don’t need to be against mantras, or chanting or psalms. We can listen to all the lyrics and great orations with benefit. But we’re going beyond these by reasoning to the source of creation—to the fundamentals: from the light, to the thought to the Source. God’s concentration on the thought of light caused it to present itself into the void. In the same way, when we concentrate on the colors, because it is recorded that we are made in God’s image, when we meditate on the colors, we’re working with primary forces of creation. When we meditate on a color and manifest a color in our minds, we are creating on the level of Universal Intelligence—in harmony with the Present Lover—bringing about an effect in our lives, and in our bodies and minds. We are doing this in the same way that God’s original thought created color and then energy and matter in what the Hebrews understood in the Kaballah as “limitless light.”
There are seven rays of indescribable beauty, from a heating spectrum of red, orange and yellow, through the harmonizing cooling ray of vibrant green to the upper spectrum of enchanting cooling light blue, indigo and amethyst. There are different ranges of these colors. From those of more depth to those which are softer or calmer—like pale colors as opposed to neon colors. When you see the deeper hues of colors, typically these are more representative of the material realm. Purple, for example, is a deeper form of amethyst. And the deeper colors, specifically in foods, evoke benefits on the material plane to the body. The mid-range of violet is for the mental realm, and the lightest and softest shades are in the spiritual dimension, not necessarily common or even visible to most people. There are colors in the Mind of God that are more radiant on the spiritual dimension and we can perceive them in meditation and our intention of thought and through consciousness. These colors are present in the sunsets and sunrises, which is why we are drawn to look at the sky at these times. What we see on a less conscious level is more of a shadow of color compared to the spiritual colors from the realm of idea that is God. The point of this work is to turn us in the direction of seeking the spiritual colors which nourish the soul, inspire the mind and also bring health to the body, as a result.
We grasp the importance of color in our lives. In our speech, we have developed phrases for the lack of color in all its manifestations, saying that something is “off color” or, under trauma, the “color just drained from the face.” We hear the phrase that someone is “colorless” to describe a bland or gloomy personality. We say people lack “sparkle.” Then we talk of the “glow” of health. We talk of great operatic singers as “coloraturas.”
Now let’s take the great experiential journey into the Universe of Color and go through your ceremonial initiation in the Temple of Light. Through your Seven Ray Initiation, you will learn the Eight Laws of Spiritual Evolution. On this journey into the rays of color that compose light, you will feel the information far beyond a mental experience. You are using color to enter the realm of Higher Thought and Higher Self. You are in the process of your second birth. You, on your own, by your own choice, are initiating this process, as you take this most timely and significant voyage of Destiny. You’re birthing moves you through the Fourth Dimension and into the Fifth Dimension, the next evolutionary step—beyond the realm and entrapment of time, which you are genetically primed to manifest on every level of human experience that is calling to you.
The Framework
The Seven Rays Initiation Curriculum is designed to be an eight week course, consisting of eight sets, each approximately 90 minutes in length, composed of a lesson segment and a meditation segment. After listening to a lesson and meditation, it is highly recommended that the participant practice for at least a week with that particular ray/color and its corresponding spiritual law. You may choose to take more than one week to practice before you continue with the next lesson and meditation set. To receive the maximum benefit, it is necessary to do the lessons and meditations in the appropriate sequence.
All lessons and meditations are already in archival format on the members-only site. They were recorded during a live class for 20 Dutch students in 2009.
